Is Your Business Essential or Non-Essential as Defined By NYS?

Closed Due to Coronavirus

March 20, 2020

Today in Governor Andrew Cuomo's daily press conference announced a new Executive Order mandating all non-essential businesses reduce their in-person workforce by 100% starting Sunday (3/22) evening.

Per the list of essential businesses published by the state yesterday.

However, your workforce must practice social distancing of at least 6 feet. And you should continually emphasize good practices regarding hand washing, covering mouths and noses when coughing or sneezing and disinfecting work surfaces and tools etc.

You should also look at your in-office staff and work to have your non-essential staffers work remotely if possible. Some office spaces limit the ability for people to maintain a 6-foot distance and you need to keep your staff away from one another as much as possible.

If any of your workforce is ill, it is imperative that you send them home and have them call their doctor or local health department for additional guidance.

We continue to monitor this situation and will alert you if any directive impacts to your business.

We hope you are all safe & wish you the best.
